Capwise is built for founders who handle sensitive financial and business information. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have over it.
01Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a Capwise account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
Usage Data
We collect information about how you interact with Capwise — including pages visited, features used, financial models created, cap table entries, and pitch deck notes saved. This helps us improve the product.
Financial & Business Data
Any financial models, cap table data, fundraising notes, or pitch content you enter into Capwise is stored securely and used solely to provide you with the service. We do not sell, share, or analyze this data for advertising purposes.
Device & Technical Data
We automatically collect browser type, operating system, IP address, and session identifiers to maintain security and diagnose technical issues.

Providing the Service
Your data is used to operate Capwise — saving your work, personalizing your experience, and enabling collaboration features.
Product Improvement
Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns help us understand which features are most valuable and where to invest development effort.
Communications
We may send you product updates, feature announcements, and educational content relevant to your founder journey. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
Security & Fraud Prevention
We use your data to detect and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, and fraudulent activity on the platform.
03Data Storage & Security
Infrastructure
Capwise is built on Supabase, which uses PostgreSQL hosted on AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. All data is stored in secure, SOC 2-compliant data centers.
Encryption
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Sensitive fields are encrypted at the database level.
Access Controls
Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data.
04Data Sharing
We Do Not Sell Your Data
Capwise does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or business data to third parties for any purpose.
Service Providers
We work with a limited set of trusted service providers (authentication, hosting, analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Capwise, our users, or the public.
05Your Rights
Access & Portability
You can export all your Capwise data at any time from the Settings page. Your data is provided in JSON format.
Correction
You can update your profile information directly within the app. If you need to correct other data, contact us at hello@capwise.uno.
Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings > Danger Zone section. Deletion is irreversible and takes effect within 30 days.
GDPR & CCPA
If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. Contact us to exercise these rights.
06Cookies
Essential Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your preferences. These are strictly necessary for the service to function.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. No cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising cookies are used.
07Changes to This Policy
Notification
We will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Capwise after changes constitutes acceptance.
